Starbase 211

Starbase 211 is a Stardock class starbase located on the Federation side of the Dorvan Sector in the Alpha Quadrant. It is a mere light year from the Demilitarized Zone with the Cardassian Union, orbiting the second moon of the Class P planet of Zeta Mar. Construction began in 2353 at the behest of the Betazoid government to replace the aging Starbase K-5 that had long served as a deterrant to Cardassian aggression.

In 2364, the USS Enterprise-D escorted the USS Phoenix to Starbase 211 after Capt. Benjamin Maxwell's unprovoked attacks against Cardassian ships and installations. (TNG: "The Wounded")

In 2371, Vory Kalidor was taken to the starbase by a Coridan freighter after escaping Sheva III, ending a lifetime of slavery.

During the Dominion War, the strategically-placed Starbase 211 was repeatedly attacked through much of the first two years of the war. Finally, Dominion forces by-passed it and captured Betazed, rendering the station's defense pointless. It was abandoned and booby-trapped by Starfleet engineers in early 2375, which a Jem'Hadar boarding party found out about the hard way. After the cessation of hostilities, it was quickly reoccupied and given priority status for reconstruction. As of 2388, it remains a point of collection and distribution for relief efforts to Cardassia Prime.
