Suliban

The Suliban were considered to be no more advanced than Humans during First Contact in the mid 2100s, however they have since fallen significantly behind in terms of technological advancements. The Suliban are a reptilian humanoid species. They have achieved interstellar capabilities far before their human counterparts, and are an accepted part, if considered minor, of established stellar travel. Many Suliban have colonized extensively, often settling peacefully alongside other species. History once recorded them as a minor species. No threat, and one that would fade into obscurity. Many Suliban lived gathered in their colonies, proud of their heritage, and wishing no more than peaceful existence. The Suliban are tall humanoids, with a mottled green skin and no body hair.

The Suliban are also renowned as one of spaces few traveling races, largely a result of the massive environmental damage done to their ancestral home which has rendered it uninhabitable. Whilst in the last century attempts have been made to clean the planet up, within the Suliban there is little desire to return and for the foreseeable future, the Suliban will remain a scattered and disparate people. As they have no government, the Suliban are not a Federation member race, however their interests are represented where any Suliban has citizenship of any Federation member, Suliban who live and were born within Federation space can also apply for Federation citizenship, which among other things entitles them to vote in elections to the Federation Council and to join Starfleet.

OOC Note: In the Obsidian Fleet Timeline the Suliban Cabal seen in Enterprise is considered not to exist, due to their relationship to one of the primary actors within the Temporal Cold War, as such when the War ended and the timeline was reverted, the Suliban Cabal ceased to exist, however the Suliban race continued to do so, enabling them to be played. However as per OF rules, Cabal members or genetically augmented Suliban are non-playable races.
