Tikani eye

The gateway to a layer of subspace that resides outside the normal flow of time. The Tikani eye itself displays many of the same properties as a black hole.

In 2289, the USS Endurance (NCC-1709) was drawn into the gravity well of the Tikani eye during a scientific study of the phenomenon. Unable to escape, the starship was trapped in the timeless layer of subspace.

In 2378, the USS Copernicus discovered the Endurance during a new scientific study of the Tikani eye. Fifteen months later, the Endurance was retrieved from the Tikani eye, and it was discovered that the crew had not aged a day since their entrapment.
