Type 8 Disrupter

The Type 8 Disrupter was originally designed to be mounted on the B'rel class Bird of Prey Variant and since then has proven herself an invaluable weapon, arguably the provision of the cannon to that vessel has caused it's success, primarily because of the high rate of fire and the comparatively high firepower of the Disrupter. The Disrupter's rate of fire is similar to that of the Type U Pulse-phaser Cannon and has a power level comparable to that of the Type VIII Phaser Array.
