Battle of Donatu V

The Battle of Donatu V took place between Federation and Klingon forces in 2245. It was one of several "bush-fire" conflicts that took place during the 70-year "cold war" among the two powers. This one was fought near the planet Donatu V, not far from Sherman's Planet, along the disputed border with Klingon. A task force from Starfleet's 4th Fleet encountered two squadrons of Klingon Birds-of-Prey and in the ensuing melee, each side lost a ship and several damaged. The outcome was inconclusive, as both sides withdrew to safer areas of space. (The Original Series: "The Trouble With Tribbles")
