Prophet's Landing

Prophet's Landing is an inhabited Bajoran planet in the Alpha Quadrant that was colonized by Bajor prior to 2318. It is a vibrant Class M world, known for its beautiful scenery and serene landscapes. The Cardassian Union occupied the planet briefly during their "annexation" of Bajoran worlds, but lacking any strategic significance they kept only a token force there. After the Cardassian withdraw from the Bajor Sector, it was the closest Bajoran colony to Cardassian space.

Despite religious protests, the Bajoran Militia quickly established a sizable force there beginning in 2371. One of the security features they added were orbital sensor platforms to give early-warning of attack. Major Kira Nerys and Constable Odo of Deep Space 9 were present when these platforms went on-line. (DS9: "Heart of Stone")
