The Anthropologist is the study of Humanity, although in the 24th century this has now been extended to include the sub subject of Xenopology that is the of alien cultures. The Anthropologist studies cultures of both past and present civilizations to determine how they lived and dead.
An Anthropologist will study the remains, in same cases only small parts of a body, to interpret how they had lived and more importantly how they had died.
The Anthropologist reports to the Chief Science Officer.
