Archaeologist

Science Duty Uniform

An Archaeologist is a specialist that studies civilization through the recovery, documentation, analysis, and interpretation of material remains and environmental data, including architecture, artifacts, features, biofacts, and landscapes.

There would only normally be one archaeologist on a ship, and some smaller starships would have none, but on mission where the study of archaeology is needed there could be an entire team along with aid and technicians that would assist the senior archaeologist in their mission.

The Archaeologist reports to the CSciO, Chief Science Officer.
