Science Officer

Science Duty Uniform

A Science Officer is a member of any starship or facility's science department. Unlike many of his fellow department members, who fall under the distinction of being a specialist in one particular field, a Science Officer is expected to be well versed in a wide range of subjects but not necessarily a master of any more than one or two specific fields, in addition to basic knowledge of staff management. All Science Officers report directly to the Assistant Chief Science Officer.
