Mission: To catch a thief
Location: Captains Quarters
Timeline: 3rd April 2395 0200hrs

With her daugher laying fast asleep across her chest Taliserra slept peacefully; a relatively rare thing for her. All was well till a voice came over the comm system.

=/\= Bridge to Captain=/\=

It took the message being repeated before Taliserra awake enough, reaching out she fumbled for her combadge laying on her bedside table.

=/\= Go ahead. =/\=

=/\= Sorry to wake you Captain but the strategic ops department on the base is trying to contact you.=/\=

Taliserra groaned slightly she slowly shuffled up the bed till she was a little more upright. =/\= Alright, put them through.=/\=

=/\= Commander I'Jar here Captain, I'm sorry to have woken you up but we have need of your ship.=/\=

=/\= What is it you need Commander? =/\=

=/\= One of our nearby research posts is several days late in sending it's monthly supply request, they have always been on time or even early with it so has surprised us. =/\=

=/\= I asume you've tried to contact them?=/\= Taliserra asked, knowing the answer would be along the lines of 'we have but they aren't responding'

=/\= We have, there has been no response from the post.=/\=

Please don't ask us to go Taliserra thought not wanting to have to cut the crews shoreleave short for something that could be as simple as a blown circuit =/\= Can't you send a runabout to investigate?=/\=

=/\= A number of our runabouts and local cargo ships have been attacked by rogue vessels recently. The boss doesn't want to risk sending one, a full starship would be better suited to investigate.=/\=

Taliserra sighed ever so slightly hoping I'jar didn't hear it. =/\= Alright, send what ever information you have to us and we'll head out there and take a look.=/\=

=/\= It's on its way Captain, thank you. I'jar out.=/\= The channel closed leaving the room silent again apart from Lashell who was starting to stir.

Slowly Taliserra rolled to her side holding Lashell and shuffled off the bed and to her feet.

=/\= Tigran to bridge, contact everyone still on the base, have them report back onboard ASAP. Wake the senior officers and have them get their departments ready for departure. Have Commander Radak meet me in the ready room when he's ready.=/\=

=/\= Aye Captain =/\=

=/\= Tigran out =/\= Carrying Lashell over to her cot she carefully placed her down, she then headed for her wardbrobe to get dressed. This was going to be a long day.
