Draylon II

Draylon II is a Class M world that was, until 2370, uninhabited by intelligent life. The planet was first discovered in 2132 by the Kressari in the Alpha Quadrant and later surveyed by the Vulcans. Although it had a temperate climate and low surface radiation levels, it lacked any natural resources of value---making it unattractive to miners and other businesses. The Federation placed it on their list of planets fit for colonization in 2247. At least two attempts at civilian settlement never went beyond the planning stages.

When the Skrreea came through the Bajoran wormhole and believed Bajor to be Kentanna, their mythical sanctuary, the Bajoran Provisional Government was forced to turn them away. Commander Benjamin Sisko of Starfleet and Major Kira Nerys of the Bajoran Militia suggested Draylon II as an alternative, but the Skrreea resisted; however, they were ultimately forced to relocate there.
