Galador II

Second planet of the Galador system, Galador II is home to the Galadorans, a species renown for their spacefaring abilities. The planet is a Class L world, with much of the surface rocky and barren. When the planet began "dying" over 300 years ago, the Galadorans moved all the major settlements underground or in huge valleys that are sealed with their own atmospheres. Water, while nearly non-existent on the surface, is plentiful underground thanks to a technologically advanced aquaduct system that taps into the planet's frozen poles and high-altitude mountain ranges. Almost everything else they need has to be brought from other worlds.

The Galadorans were already well established as galactic traders and transporters before the drastic climatic changes. Now, 90% of their economy is based on shipbuilding, shipping, and transportation. They will haul just about anything, anywhere, without question in most cases. Their freighters, tankers, and transports are some of the best in the quadrant. They readily offer up their shipping expertise to acquire any goods and services needed at home. Some of their busiest routes involve Farius Prime, Bajor, Cardassia Prime, and Ferenginar.
