The mainstay of the Cardassian fleet, the Galor is a capable warship of a size not dissimilar to Starfleet's Norway and Intrepid classes. While not as powerful as the latest generation of starships entering service in the United Federation of Planets, Klingon Empire or Romulan Star Empire, the Galor is heavily armed with at least one deadly phaser bank and multiple disrupters that are more than able to descimate smaller vessels. Moreover, the chief advantage enjoyed by the Galor class is that it exists in such huge numbers. Literally hundreds can be built every year thanks to their straightforward designs and simple - some would say rudimentary - construction requirements.
