Kalla III

Kalla III is one of the many planets still in a state of turmoil from the lengthy Klingon-Federation contests of the 23rd and early 24th centuries. Although its surface is uninhabitable, its rich veins of magnesite have made it a valuable commodity, and the Klingon Empire, the Federation and independent operators such as the Orions and Ferengi have tangled its jurisdiction beyond hope of resolution. Although it technically belongs to Pakled interests now, pirates and thieves often jump claim and loot magnesite ore in fly-by-night operations.
