Regulon System

Located in the Bajor Sector of the Alpha Quadrant, the Regulon System comprises a trinary star system not far from Bajor and the Cardassian Union. The main star is a giant red M-class example that dominates a smaller orange main sequence star and an even smaller light blue A-class dwarf. The planets located in the system are nearly in a state of perpetual day given their orbits and the orbits of their three suns. While none of the planets are inhabited, six of the system's fifty-nine moons are. Collectively, they call themselves "The Aligned Moons of Regulon".

The peoples of the Regulon moons are a hardy and humorless lot of mixed heritage. They claim to have Orion, Bajoran, Cardassian, and Tellarite lineages, but Federation anthropologists have yet been allowed to study them more closely. For decades they have aligned themselves with the Cardassians, but during the Dominion War the Regulonians chose neutrality rather than getting sucked into open warfare.
