The Theta 116 System is located on the far side of Klingon space (if referenced from the Sol System), in a relatively uncharted sector of neutral space in the Beta Quadrant. It contains eight planets, almost all being Class I gas supergiants or Class J gas giants. Theta VIII was surveyed by the USS Enterprise-D in 2365 after the discovery of an crashed Earth ship there from the 21st Century.
