Based off of the Type 9 Disrupter, this precursor to the Type 10 Disrupter operates on a simple principle that of a basic 20th century chaingun. The primary problem with the Type 9 was that its rate of fire was around a third of that of the Type 8. To solve this, the Type 10 rotary disrupter mounts three Type 9 emitters on a rotating base. As the cannon rotates, the cannon which passes the top mark fires and by the time it next reaches the top point it is ready to fire again. Essentially, this provides the rotary disrupter with a very high rate of fire as well as the level of destructive power attributed to the Type 9.
