Anthony Edwards, Lieutenant junior grade if you will, Chief Science Officer of the USS Wolff, Personal Log Eighteenth October 2394
I had been enjoying my time off. The ship had been placed into a minor refit so the whole ship’s company had been given time off. Except the engineers, they and the Starbase Engineering teams have been tasked with installing all the new equipment. Sucks to be engineers, the plan is for me to take six months off.
That being said I am now bored. It was three weeks into his time off and there was nothing to do that wasn’t new. He had done the holodeck many times over. The gambling dens both legal and illegal, he had made good credits and money from each, but it was now boring. He’d heard that there was some cultural exchange programs coming, one that sounded interesting was a trip to a small system near the Romulan Neutral Zone, but they had a linguist and is was too long. It was a long term scientific study of a protoRomulan society. As he was reflecting on the opportunity missed he saw a science officer or a doctor he had his shots already so simple deduction, for a scientist at least, said she was a science officer of the rank of Commander. A few hours later after dinner Anthony was able to continue his log.
Computer continue log. Commander Sheen, Commanding Officer of the Science Team to Aurillac three. My dream come true, Commander Sheen needs a linguistics expert, especially one that understands Romulan. She only needs a linguist for three and a half months temporary mission, for set up until her permanent linguist arrives on a supply run. After they arrive I will have a two week traveling by the time I get back the Wolff should be habitable. What a rush getting the dream job fall in my lap. Well everyone else is packed and ready to leave I have until 09:00 tomorrow to get official temporary transfer and packed. I guess a really good night's sleep is in order first. Chief Science Officer Lieutenant Anthony Edwards signing off.

Good morning all Step one official okie dokie from command to join the Aurillac expedition now I have to get there before nine o’clock, twenty five minutes….. puffing a bit as he stopped with a padd in his pocket recording as he went running as he rested in the turbolift. Twenty minutes once the turbolift arrives at the location to be on the transport. That small amount of minutes left Anthony made it sliding into the docking bay and as he made it the door closed as he made his way to the briefing room for the first day of the briefing about the expedition.
