Timeline: 10th feb 2395

"Approaching Starbase 54's outer marker, Captain," Ensign Bracca called out as the Wolff sped towards the base.

"Drop us to impulse speed, Ensign."

"Aye sir," Bracca replied.

In a flash the Wolff dropped from warp speed and a moment later the much larger Apollo also came out of warp alongside it.

From the Apollo Captain Kerr Newton was glad to be back in sight of a starbase. He let out a slow sigh of relief and let himself relax in his chair for a moment as his helmsman worked out a place to dock. It had been a rough couple of days, but he was glad to be home, even if they were still limping a little, more in spirit than damages.

Taliserra stood up and stepped behind the helm and Ops stations "Lt. Sika, hail the Apollo"

Sika muttered something under his breath about not being a communications officer. Though the position itself was absorbed over the years, practically any officer on the Bridge at a station could do it. Though Operations tended to handle it. "Hailing frequencies open Captain," he said in a rather classical homage to Communications Officers of the past centuries.

"Here we are Captain Newton," Taliserra said. "Safe and sound at your destination."

Captain Kerr Newton appeared on the viewscreen. "Thank you Captain Tigran and thank you for all your help and the escort. We wouldn't have survived the day without your help. Are you all going to be coming aboard the starbase?" For Kerr it was sort of bittersweet. Despite all the stress and trauma, Kerr had enjoyed their time spent with the Starfleet crew.

"Yes, we will be starting docking procedures in a moment," Taliserra replied, she gave Bracca a tap on the shoulder as a signal to get started. "We need a starbase team to take a look at some damage we took."

"Ah good," Kerr responded. "Then we can say our goodbyes there."

Taliserra nodded. "We'll see about arranging that after we've docked. Wolff out."

"I have found us a vacancy Captain. Would you like to proceed?" Sika asked.

Taliserra nodded. "Take us in."

"Captain, I'm preparing the mooring clamps now. Helm, needs to take us in a bit easy. It's important we are well aligned with the port," reported Sika. "Activating blue alert conditions," he added as the Bridge of the starship had a blue illuminations cast upon it.

Already on course towards the docking area, Bracca made a few course alterations towards the berth that Sika had indicated. After a couple of minutes of slow precise moves the Wolff finally came to a stop inside the bay.

The starship had come to a stop. The clamps had locked on and Lieutenant Sika checked the status. "We're in the blue," he announced to the captain. "Clamps locked. We are in perfect alignment," he added.

"Good, gentlemen," Taliserra said, turning so she could see both the Ops console and the Engineering station. "I want the ship ready to go again as soon as we can."

"I will get the resupply needs to OPS and run a few routine diagnostics, but aside from that we are good. According to the Book a minimum of 96 hours. I want to see how the new engines are settling in, of course, but no more than 48 hours to get all the Engineering checks done," Navore replied. "Have to start the reputation as a talented Engineer."

Sika nodded. "So long as everything goes well with Engineering, we will be ready to go relatively shortly, Captain. I will do my best to see to it," replied the Chief Operations Officer.

"Be sure to double check the sensors, I don't want to have to come back here again any time soon," Taliserra added.

Sika nodded. "I'll be sure to inform Starbase 54's station commander that you love their station that much," replied the Bajoran with a bit of a sense of humor on display. "You have my word they will be double checked, Captain."

Taliserra turned in the direction of the ready room. "Lieutenant Navore, you have the bridge. I'll be in the ready room."

Navore turned his engineering console chair. "Confirmed Captain." He had no desire to be in that center chair when he could command perfectly well from his place at the moment. "I have the Conn."
