Begrudgingly on leave

Mission: Shoreleave
Location: Deck 1- Ready room
Timeline: Shoreleave week 2

Sat in her ready room much has she had done for the past seven days Taliserra read through the latest batch of paperwork that required her attention, no matter how much she did there was always more to be done. The windows of her ready room provided a great view of the pleasure planet Risa they were soft docked at. Even with half of the crew planetside there was always paperwork to be done.

Shoreleave had been nice, and the little bit of time spent with Summer was nice though Ty was still cautiously uncertain where the two were going, if that was even in the same direction. When he got back aboard and settled in he thought it best to check on Taliserra, heading to her usual habitat, the Ready Room where paperwork never seemed to end. He pressed the chime and waited patiently for his Commanding Officer.

Taliserra looked up from her Padd when the chime sounded. "Come in."

Ty walked in and looked at her. "Damn. Haven't seen you in several days and all I get is 'cone in?'" he said with a small chuckle. "Please tell me you haven't been here the whole damn time just hiding behind paperwork while the crew has enjoyed shoreleave?"

"Who says I'm hiding, there is always paperwork to be done Ty." Taliserra replied. "And one of us needs to remain on the ship while we're here, can't have both of the command team on leave at the same time."

"Stop dragging your spotted ass on deciding a Second Officer and then it wouldn't just be the two of us" Ty quipped with a smirk. "See, you say there's always paperwork and that's true, but I've just spent a few days with the Counselor and I believe she'd say it's an avoidance tactic."

"You seem to be in a good mood." Taliserra said slightly surprised at Ty's attitude. "Did you and Summer enjoy yourselves down on Risa."

"Why do you think I'm in such a good mood?" He quipped teasingly. "You should try it sometime. It's better than paperwork, I can assure you."

"I...." Taliserra played with the Padd for a few seconds before putting it down and looking at her Xo. "Don't think I could relax enough to enjoy myself these days."

Ty smiled and rummaged through a satchel he had with him. "Funny you should say that" he said. "While we were on shore leave, we bumped into a former Wolff crewmember. He asked me to give you something."

Ty pulled out a PADD and handed it over to Taliserra. "He said it was Doctor's orders, and if you protested that he'd come find you."

Taking the Padd Taliserra looked at it for a moment before almost slamming it back onto the table. "That..... if I get beamed off the ship without any warning I want you to find Mr El Azar and arrest him for kidnapping." she said as thoughts of the mans last attempt to force her to relax came to the forefront of her mind.

"Then go willingly" offered Ty. "I can keep the ship together while you're gone. You can even find a nanny if you want to go alone, Summer will happily watch your little one."

"I'm sure my mother would no doubt look forward to some time on Risa too." Taliserra remarked, probably more than she would herself.

Ty smiled and sighed. "What are you waiting for then? You can't keep holding yourself back like this. I can keep the Wolff together. It's not like we are going to be called away on some emergency without you."

Sitting back in her chair Taliserra exhaled heavily. "Fine, call me the second anything happens, command authorized this leave but I wouldn't rule out them pulling us back early if anything kicks off."

"Yes, because if anything happens of all the Federation starships currently in service, they are going to need to pull you off shore leave and summon the Wolff" teased Ty. "Relax. Go have fun, and try to enjoy yourself. We'll be fine. You are leaving the Wolff in capable hands."

"I will try." Taliserra said as she stood up. "The shoreleave list for this week is on the desk. Don't break my ship while I'm gone Commander."

"Wouldn't dream of it," replied Ty. "Take it out for a joyride, maybe, but I'll make sure not to scratch the paint."

"Be sure you don't, you're not high enough up the chain to not get painting the ship duty remember." Taliserra added as she headed for the door.

You'd have to find me first thought Ty. "Enjoy your time on Risa, Captain" added Ty as he observed Taliserra heading out. Meanwhile, Ty was eying up the comfortable chair in her ready room behind her desk.

Leaving her ready room and crossing the bridge to a turbolift she programmed it for deck 2. "Computer open a channel to Selene Devore."

"Channel open."

"Mother, pack yourself a bag, we're going down to Risa."
