Deneb is a major star system with a total population of over 29 billion inhabitants. It ranks with Sol and Rigel as one of the major cultural centers of the Federation, and its location well above the galactic plane makes it one of the most remote of all Federation members. Deneb is a system of five planets, all of which orbit a white supergiant in a binary system. Planets II, IV, and V are Class M and support intelligent life of many varieties. Deneb III is a Class N waterworld that features many non-sentient animal life forms.
