It was nearly midnight and Lieutenant Commander Acevedo had finished up with his physical examination, and though he was unable to convince the Doctor to permit him to 'kill two birds with one stone' with the Counsellor then and there, he had promised to clear his agenda and add the Counsellor to his immediate itinerary. Something, he kept his word about.

As he arrived and pressed the chime, he was granted permission to enter, finding that the Ship's Counsellor was definitely ready for him. "I see you are ready," he said teasingly as he noticed a stack of PaDDs laying on a table. They could have been anything, but he teased as if they were all about him.

Summer grinned. “Surely you can’t be that problematic Commander?” She motioned to a seat. “Please sit and make yourself at home.”

"Ah," he said walking over towards a replicator unit, a detour route from having a seat as was offered. "May I?" he said gesturing to the unit. He stifled a small laugh. "You haven't gotten into the nitty-gritty details of my personnel file yet. Otherwise, you wouldn't be asking if I am that problematic."

“Of course” Summer nodded. “Feel free to have whatever you like.”

He skimmed the listing looking for one of his go-to beverages when he was on duty or did not have enough time to enjoy to pleasures of something harder. "Dirty cola, iced," he said ordering the chilled beverage and picking it up from the pad after it materialized there for him.

She had not answered the other portion of his half-inquiry, half-accusation, that she had not yet read the nitty-gritty. "Sometimes, there's more to someone than what's in their files. I am sure you know that in your professional experience."

“I don’t always tend to rely on personnel files, I much prefer to get to know the person instead.” Summer smiled warmly. “So tell me about you.”

He had taken a seat and sit of his dirty cola before setting it aside to address her line of questioning. "First and foremost, you will be reading that I killed my previous Commanding Officer. That is not untrue. That happened, and Captain Tigran is aware of it. The details are dicey, but to save you the trouble of reading logs and reports, the Captain had been compromised by an alien species."

Ty smiled. "I wish things had turned out better, but they did not. I was not charged for anything, Starfleet cleared me of any wrongdoing, but it still remains a bit of a red flag in my record" he explained. "I am trouble, but I'm not a cold-blooded Captain killer."

Summer looked at Ty in surprise at first before her gaze softened. “It sounds as though you did what you had to do. If you hadn’t Starfleet would have you locked up right now not serving as a First Officer.”

He nodded and took another sip of his beverage, shaking the ice around in a swirling motion, letting them chatter against the sides of the glass. "This is my first posting as a First Officer," he added. "It is going to take me some time to get used to not being in Engineering."

“Tell me something Commander if you were faced with saving, or killing a loved one or colleague in that same position what would you do? Off the record of course.”

Oh we are playing hypothetical questions he thought. "What exactly do you mean? Walk me through it?"

Summer paused. “Okay... say you’re in a relationship with a woman onboard ship, what if... hypothetically she was possessed or taken over, as your Captain was. If you were faced with saving her or killing her what would you do?”

"One, who said I liked women?" He countered playfully. "Two, there was no reason for you to assume killing the Captain or hypothetical girlfriend was my intention." He shook.his head "Nah, you see you are painting it wrong. I killed the Captain unintentionally. I took a risk and it did not come out favorable."

“Okay, fair enough my error for not asking the circumstances.” Summer smiled. “So... do you not like women?” She grinned playfully. “Oh and it’s not a question that’s going on the record.”

He was intrigued as to why it mattered to ask. "Just having a little fun," he replied. "I like women well enough, if you asking if I am attracted to them, then yes. Men don't really do it for me," he added with a shrug. "Hasn't stopped them from trying though."

Summer grinned. “Who wouldn’t find you attractive...” she quickly stopped herself and silently cursed herself for being such a flirt. Sorry Commander that was totally uncalled for, and not appropriate for a psych evaluation.”

"Maybe I should have had you do my physical instead," he countered with his own bit of crossing the line. "And who? I could probably give you a list a mile long. For starters, my ears are large and I still have boyish looks. Not everyone finds that attractive."

Summer smiled hoping he didn’t catch her blush. “Erm... I really should get this evaluation back on track Commander.”

Clearing his throat, Ty then nodded. "Yes, that's right. We have this formality to get out of our way," he replied with a small glistening of his eyes at her. "Proceed, Counsellor."

Summer nodded. “Erm... I’ve completely lost track of where I was.” She grinned. “I think we’ve more or less come to the conclusion that you’re not a bad guy, and that you do what’s right.”

"Excellent, you know that I am not a bad guy and that I am pretty stable? So, perhaps clear me for duty and then clear your schedule later this week, and I'll see you for dinner?"

Summer sat open mouthed for a moment before smiling. “I think that could be arranged. Consider yourself free to go Commander.”

"Thank you," he said finishing his beverage off. "I'll be seeing you around" he added flirtatiously as he departed from her office.

Smiling to herself Summer wondered just how she was going to justify such a short Psych evaluation on the Commander’s file, but she couldn’t help but look forward to seeing Tyrus again.
