Starbase 375

Starbase 375 is a Regula class Federation space station located in the Kalandra sector astride an important trade and communication corridor between the Federation core worlds and the Cardassian Union. Following the outbreak of the Federation-Cardassian War, this station was towed from Draylon II to its current location in 2351. Along with Lya Station Alpha, it became the anchor of the Federation Alliance defenses in the sector during the Dominion War.

Following the withdrawal of Federation and Klingon forces from Deep Space 9 in late 2373, the Starfleet station staff, along with the USS Defiant was recalled to this Starbase for reassignment. This starbase was also the location of a Jem'Hadar attack ship retrieved by Capt. Benjamin Sisko a year prior from Torga IV. (DS9: "A Time to Stand")

Approximately four months later, Starbase 375 served as gathering point for the Second and Fifth Fleets in preparation for Operation Return, in which combined Federation and Klingon forces managed to retake Deep Space 9. Sisko then returned to his previous post as commander of Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels") The base underwent an extensive refit in 2379.

In 2383, the station was moderately damaged after a Kotakian freighter rammed into it. It had been hijacked by a group of Chalnoth terrorists intent on disrupting operations against them in the sector.
