Mission: Misson 1 - Rebirth
Location: Bridge
Timeline: 7th feb 2395

ON:

Stepping out of the ready room onto the bridge Taliserra walked across to the tactical station where Lt Misaka sat. "Mikoto are your people ready for the tactical systems test?"

"Everyones in position" She reported back. "Lets see what we've got to play with" she added with a slight grin.

"Good. Bring weapons and shields online and standby." Taliserra added.

Navore sat at his console with the power grid ; having the full combat mode of power consumption would not strain the engines or the power grid; yet, he was not going to chance luck with his keeping it that way so he monitored.

Taliserra circled clockwise around the bridge stopping at each station giving out her orders. "Kallen, monitor the system readouts make sure we don't strain anything and blow ourselves up."

"You do take out all the fun." Kallen snickered. "Unless you want to go full shields warp and weapons I think I can manage your needs Captain." He assured.

Next came Ops "Lt Sika, bring forward sensors to bear on the asteroid field and find us some suitable groups of targets, nothing too big, stationary and moving asteroids."

The Bajoran was immediately at work with the drop of the orders. "Forward sensors coming to bear, Captain" responded the Chief Operations Officer. "I will find us something suitable" he added.

She placed a hand on Ensign Bracca's shoulder as she stpped across to the helm station. "Bracca, evasive and attack patterns at Commander Anettes discretion."

"Aye Sir." Bracca said, he flexed his fingers and cracked a couple of knuckles.

Finally she came to science. "Anthony, keep an eye on the sensor feeds, did your staff install the new stuff R&D sent us onto several of our probes?"

“Yes Captain. It is still listed as prototype technology so I guess we are the guinea pigs to do its space testing. I know one of the R&D team and I trust that it has been very well tested in the Lab. It should be interesting to see how it works.” Anthony said.

"Me too, have 4 of the probes loaded into the sensor pods launchers and launch them when ordered." Taliserra said.

With a few taps of his console Anthony had loaded the pods ready to go. “On your orders Captain! Until you hand command to someone else.”

"Good." Taliserra said then moved on. Finishing her circle back at the tactical station Taliserra stood beside Mikoto. "Commander." She called down to Anette.

Claire stayed in her own seat and monitored her own status consoles and the main viewscreen. "Let's start with the main tactical arrays. Launch the probes and begin the simulation modes. Tactical, begin firing at will at our asteroid targets, ten percent power until full calibration is achieved. Also, ready a full spread of torpedoes with minimal payload for follow up. Helm, initiate attack pattern delta three at one quarter impulse - that should give us a good idea if anything is sluggish but give the probes enough time to pull ahead. After that, we'll start phase two and accelerate into a full impulse starboard spin between the holographic targets and see if the tactical sensors can keep up with the fast change in targeting profiles."

Anthony launched to probes. as he did they sped away and became well known targets of Starfleet for many years. a Brel class Klingon bird of prey, a Cardassian Keldon Class warship, a Ferengi D'Kora class ship and finally a Romulan Men'Hlar Class ship.

"Pattern Delta three." Bracca repeated, flexing his fingers he accelerated the Wolff to one quarter impulse and put the ship into a steep dive towards the closest target cluster weaving a path through the holo targets.

Mikoto tapped at the console to open up the firing sequence. "Firing forward phaser arrays" she said. "Direct hits on two targets." she reported.

Taliserra watched the viewscreen as two of the small asteroids exploded into fragments from the phaser fire. "Looks like you're right on target Mikoto." Tali remarked.

Mikito nodded. "The phasers were a little slow to fire. The coil chamber could use some fine tuning." she replied. "I'd like them a little sharper..."

"Note it in the maintenence log and switch targets to the holographic targets." Taliserra ordered. "Helm attack pattern Sierra 4, try and keep the Keldon between us and the other targets.

Bracca didn't respond but quickly bought the Wolff into a climb towards the Keldon, passing its port side he looped the Wolff over the Keldon keeping the primary phaser array in a good firing position.

"Firing phasers." Mikoto said. The beams streaked out of the primary phaser array towards the Keldon leaving deep scarring on the yellowish hull, fire blossomed from the impact points.

“Just remember their our science probes out there okay they’re mimicking unfriendlies at the moment but distroy them and command aren’t going to be happy and niether am I they could come in very handy one day as a distraction some time we need one.” Anthony said as he was his sensor data coming back which said some of the beams were very close to the sensor probes.

"I'll use minimum power" Mikoto replied simply.

"Load both torpedo launchers, helm bring us around to 124 mark 12, get a firing angle on the bird of prey, full impulse." Tali ordered

"124 mark 12, full impulse, aye Sir." Bracca replied.

Lieutenant Sika spoke up with a rumble of thunder in his voice "Cool your torpedoes" he said gruffly. "Captain, there's something out there...a distress signal of some sort. I'm cleaning it up now."

"Mikoto cease fire." Taliserra called out. "Lets hear it."

'Cargo ship Apollo to any starfleet ship, we're under attack and need immediate assistance.'

"Sika, can you verify the transmission and get us a heading?" Taliserra asked. There had been rumours of ships being drawn into ambushes by fake distress calls.

"Those are no rumors" said Sika. "That's plain and simple facts of the treacherous side of deep space exploration. But more to your point, Captain, I cannot. I can tell you that there last known whereabouts of the Apollo would put them in the area, but I cannot confirm nor deny the authenticity of the transmission. By all sense and purposes with what little time I have had to examine the transmission, it seems valid."

"Transfer the coordinates to the helm, Lt Edwards, recall the probes, helm as soon as the probes are recovered set an intercept course at maximum warp." Taliserra dished out her orders.

Anthony was already halfway through shutting downing the Holo emitters as the Captain finished her sentence of command, as he started as soon he heard the call on the bridge of a distress call as he knew the training exercise was over. "On it now Captain Just sending the return codes now." Came his trained response as he tape the last few touch sensitive buttons to make the captains command come to life. " I will have the Science sensors working on the new situation as soon as we start moving toward it Ma'am."

Navore had the systems cycling over; the power grid rapidly altered to a new 'traveling' configuration; the "ladies' would soon be pushed to warp speeds and the demands upon the Engines and Sensory grid would be a priority with COmmunications falling in a quick second. This did not even constitute a 'hick-up' to his grid planning, just some sliding connections around.

"You have Engines ready to answer bells." Navore announced.

"Course plotted and laid in." Bracca said, his fingers waiting over the controls for the probes to be recovered.

With a quick few taps of the console the probes shut down and returned to the ship on a collection a few minutes later they were on board and locked down. “Ready for flight Captain.”

"Helm engage." Taliserra called out and within seconds the Wolff jumped elegantly to warp speed
